I have been patiently waiting for next Friday, May 6th, to arrive. You ask, "What is so special about May 6th?" Well, let me tell you! That is (well, should be anyway..) the day that my roommate and I get to move into our new apartment! I am extremely thrilled. For the longest time I have been wanting a place to call my own, a place that I can set up to my liking and buy my own "stuff" for it, decorate it how I want. And that time has finally come! I just have to wait for the turn of a new month, the old renters to move out, and the tenants get it ready for the new renters--me! Fortunately, and praise God, that I only have to wait these couple of weeks rather than two to three months like the apartment manager had originally anticipated. Yep, that's what she said: It could be 1 to 3 months before anything opens. But voila! We had one almost instantly. A definite blessing, I must say.
One thing that I am definitely looking forward to is going out and buying the "stuff" which will make it mine! I've been able to set back some money for this so I will get to go and find a new bed set, curtains, bathroom decor, and so on. What girl doesn't like to go shopping and buy new things?! Sadly I can't, or shouldn't, go shop until after I can move in; otherwise I'll have even more stuff to move across town. It was a big enough load getting everything from school to my friend's house!
Every day I am looking forward to next week when Nina (my future roommate) and I can stop by the apartments to get our address and put our name on the electric bill (I guess not so fun--but it still makes it part of my new apartment, haha), and the official date when we get our keys to move in. It just can't get here soon enough! I'll let you know more as it comes!
Thanks for stopping by. Take care and God bless you!

Now what?
So I did it. I finally graduated college, and it's now time to move on another step into the "real world." I've got to say though, that I'm pretty excited about it. For about two years now I have been ready to move into my own place and have nothing but work and simple life to worry about. All that school work, activities, meetings, and so on, were beginning to really get on my nerves. Now, it's go to work, and whatever else I feel like doing! For some that probably isn't too appealing, but for me, it's something I have not had for at least four years--or ever! Hey...I want to at least give it a try.
Since--and even before graduation--I have been asked by many what I'm going to do now. And I bet you are wanting to ask me the same thing! Because graduating college is supposed to be that key that opens the door to your life-long career and brings you all sorts of success!....right?? Well, not for all. For me, it is receiving a diploma and degree, showing that I can work hard and finish, and also that I can endure sitting through hours of courses learning new and interesting things. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in instrumental performance. This is definitely not the degree that lands one a job right after graduation. If I want to use my degree, it might take a while finding a good-paying job, if one at all.
Thank God that I have a good job right now. I am still working in the pharmacy as a pharm. technician. With the license, I should be able to work at virtually almost any pharmacy. For the time being, I plan to just stay with that job while I look around and think about what I can do with music. I already have several ideas, but just need time to get them started. And that's what the next year is going to be about!
I am getting an apartment in town--Chickasha--with a roommate so we will be here together for the next year. After 4 years of college, I want to give myself a break. I deserve the time off. So that's what I will be doing for now!
Thanks for stopping by to read! I tried blogging before, but it didn't really ever work out; time never allowed. Now, with no school in the way, I have more time to sit and work on "non-school" stuff! Keep your eye out for more to come. =]
